Lighting Energy Efficiency TreatmentENGIE Services U.S. (ENGIE) designed and implemented state-of-the-art lighting retrofits which significantly reduced energy consumption and qualified Dunkin’ Donuts’ Northeast distribution center for a substantial utility incentive.
The PartnershipA three-part lighting retrofit project was implemented at the 260,000 sq. ft. Bellingham, MA facility. In the warehouse area, ENGIE replaced 400W Metal Halide technology with T8 fixtures with occupancy sensors.
3 Dimensions of ImpactENGIE is committed to building three dimensions of impact in every customer’s future:
- Supporting People
- The inadequate lighting conditions were replaced with energy efficient LED technology, contributing to a brighter, improved work space for warehouse staff.
- Saving Money
- The project received an $80,000 incentive from National Grid, that enabled the project to pay for itself in less than one year.
- Protecting the Environment
- The upgrades and improvements significantly reduced the facility’s carbon footprint. Over 952,800 kWh in annual energy savings is equivalent to removing 152 cars from the road for a year.
