Lighting Energy Efficiency Treatment

ENGIE Services U.S. (ENGIE) designed and installed a high-efficiency lighting system with occupancy sensors at DPI Mid-Atlantic’s 240,000 sq. ft. facility in Upper Marlboro, MD. The work encompassed the Dry Goods Warehouse, Refrigerated Warehouse, and Freezer Warehouse.

The Partnership

ENGIE worked with this leading specialty food distributor to implement more efficient lighting in a variety of warehouses, with specific temperature and atmosphere requirements, including the refrigerated and freezer warehouses.

  • The existing lighting was replaced with bright energy efficient technology, making a more optimal working environment for DPI Mid-Atlantic staff and operators.
• Saving Money
  
  • These efficiency measures reduced DPI Mid-Atlantic’s annual electricity costs by nearly $125,000. Additionally, the project qualified for over $104,200 in utility incentives and tax benefits.
• Protecting the Environment
  
  • The combined energy efficiency measures are saving over 989,700 kWh annually, the equivalent of removing 158 cars from the roads for one year.
